The City of Davao (Cebuano: Dakbayan sa Dabaw, Tagalog: Lungsod ng Dabaw) is a city in Mindanao, Philippines. It is a part of Metro Davao, the third most populous metropolitan area in the country. The city serves as the regional center for the Davao Region.
Davao is also the largest city in the Philippines in terms of land area. It has an estimated population of 1,530,365 as of 2011. The highest peak in the Philippines,Mount Apo, is located in the city.
